I was born in June 6, 1972 in St-Petersburg, on Vasilievsky Island just nearby Russian Navy Museum located on Strelka place. Probably, this fact affected my further life and I got devotion of technique, gravitation to the sea, adventures and to the photo.
I started making pictures so far ago, in 1985. First, it was just like an entertainment, later it was growing to a serious hobby.
I was graduated from Moscow State Technical University named after Bayman several years ago. Now, I am working in NEC Corporation having representative office in Moscow and deal with satellite communication systems (VSAT). I had opportunity to visit Japan several times where I could snap some pictures and collect impressions of the country.
Among my impressions from many countries, Japan made my brain reel by that otherness, daintiness in details and exotic which differentiates the Land of Rising Sun.
There is urbanistic chaos of megalopolis where tine houses made from plywood huddle to each other under shadow of 50-store skyscrapers crank dancing after earthquake shaking. But what is actually perfect study there is the remain part of Japan, countryside, not yet covered by asphalt and concrete and seems to be unchanged since the samurai ages. Buddhist and Shinto temples and hand created gardens around them where each grain heedfully and carefully laid down on its particular place to create the Harmony, harmony of the nature and human soul on the way to the God. Magnetic symmetry and accuracy of curves of famous Fuji mount, deliberate and silent country life, distinctive things striking the eyes at every step.
I have tried to imprint that but one thought obsessed my mind all that time, I knew that any camera or super-professional-photographer could not create perfect image of that compositions by edging its into piece of celluloid or paper. Only scattered puzzles are available to your eyes in this portfolio.
