Nilova Pustin

This place is situated on the one of the islands on the Seliger Lake. Long time ago it was second attended place in the World by palmers (after the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem). Now there is slight wasteness, but some reconstruction works are underway and some postulants live there. From the top of the high belfry one can observe an enchanting sight - all around to the very horizon  - the Seliger lake, islands and clouds... Generally speaking, cloisters and churches in such places are somewhat especially pleasant, bringing together the calmness of the ages, the beauty of the surrounding nature and quite different people...
