This was near the junction of the rivers Argut and Katun. A mountain path at the height of 70 or 100 meters, steep, and two rivers below - one transparent and another muddy because of the chalk in the water. At daytime horses wallowed and played on the tongue of sand . And at night something forced me to go to the mountains, and I walked back to the path under the light of the rising moon. I went to the place of the rivers junction and listened to the Silence. And how rivers were flowing by below. And on the different shore of the Katun a little fire burned in the camp of watermen, dim, much weaker than moonlight. It slightly reflected in the waters of the rivers, their surface under the moonlight seemed magically quiet, the water nearly freezed in time... Than the moon came from behind the mountain and it became lighter. Shadows from the stones appeared... I waited a long time for the moon to take the position good for shooting, but it took too long, so I photographed everything as it was.
